I was originally going to claim that somehow, it was above everything. Even the mighties on the mighty PC. But then I took a second look at the two other games mentioned and realized that it's pretty much a draw, for various reasons. But RE5 is probably the first console game to make me wonder if another generation of hardware is all that necessary.

So, I'm watching the press conference now... Fallout looked bland as shit, RE5 looked great, Gears looked much better than I was expecting, Fable 2 looks like it might be fun (I liked the first one for what it's worth, even though it hardly lived up to the promise). But then they went on and on about all this boring music game crap and Wii ripoffs and Eyetoy ripoffs... I'm getting really sick of music games now. Still watching, can't wait till we get to the S-E part, I want to see how the announcement went down for real.

Would've been a CRAP conference if it wasn't for FFXIII.

yeah fallout 3 looked super bland. the environment looks great, but the illusion is ruined by the archaic animation and shooting mechanics.

i thought it'd be more than an oblivion mod. will probably still be good -- it's just that hte video made me tone down my expectations.

Man, what a massacre. PS3 just got destroyed with that FF13 a-bomb.

Gears 2 looked unbelievable... it looks as good, if not better, than anything I've seen on consoles so far. Such an improvement over the previous trailers and media.

Fallout 3 is not the type game that's going to wow people in a 3 minute demo so I dunno what people were expecting there.

Banjo looked awesome as always.

Geo Wars 2 and the other XBLA games looked excellent.

The new dash looks AMAZING... so damn sleek, so damn hot. I get the avatar criticism but the actual dash looks so much better than the old one. Wow, they totally reinvented it. The party invite/chat system sounds great too.

The casual stuff actually looked pretty damn good... Lips might be huge, I could see that selling quite a bit. The movie game looked like shit early on but the actual movie at the end looked good. These aren't my types of games but I think they're gonna be quality casual titles, especially Lips... might actually get that.
