I liked how the first third of the conference was Gears, RE and fallout which were all basically different takes on the same style of game.  Fallout looks great.  I was avoiding it because I hated morrowind so much but it looks good.

I don't think 45nm parts are even in the cards for a while. I think the rumored 65nm GPU is supposed to be hitting around the same time as the 60GB model, right? Maybe? Right now, it's a 65nm CPU and 90nm GPU. I think.

Yeah, that is the biggest problem.  It seems like the RE5 team took all the control from RE4 and dropped them into gameplay/levels that don't support it.  RE4 worked because almost everything was a very straight path and had a corner you could back into.  The video showed a village they were running through, so it will just become a problem since the levels don't seem based around it.  I also don't think there will be many slow sequences since it is a co-op game.  You will almost always be with the girl and since it is being designed partly as a co-op game, so many fundamentals that worked in RE4 won't work here.

And I am actually considering buying a quiet reliable elite 360 with a big hard drive now to replace my 20 gig launch unit.  New features sound awesome and my puny 10 gigs remaining hard drive can't handle it.

Maybe its just that I've seen more of KZ2 and GoW2, but RE5 looks in a league of its own graphically. How crazy would it be if a RE game was one of the best looking games 2 gens in a row?
