Quick heads up to PS3 owners, it's possible to get Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for free. Some people are going here, getting the key for the North American demo, and it's giving them the full game for free:

Eh, I agree.  I personally feel bad not paying for something if it's quality and fairly priced.  But it doesn't bother me if other people get it for free, which is why magus doesn't bug me at all.

I can't even tell if the PS3 version is the full game or not.  It looks pretty rough.  Probably seems worse because I played the PC version minutes before, but either way, it is really damn blurry on the ps3.

The game itself seems great.  I'll probably buy it on PC anyway.

and just confirming that it is the full version.

Ganked shamelessly and sans-verifyingly from the Fable 3 thread:
DLC for Fable 2, AssCreed, TFU and Fallout 3 are all on sale this week. Picked up the two F2 DLCs for like $9.

I might bite on SW:TFU fallout. Never need to see Fable 2 again, and heard the AC2 stuff was as pallid as a friar's ass.

Yeah, the only thing I don't have is Castlevania so I can't use the deal.

If it was the week after I'd get CV, Vanquish, Naruto since I already used some amazon credit to get the PC LE of Fallout NV.

I guess I could get CV + Reach + Enslaved (360); but since I don't have a working X360 and those games will be $20-30 by the time I do, not much point.

No you cannot preorder games from Kmart, they do not have a preorder system in place as of yet. Might I suggest you buy something that comes with a $25 coupon like MoH and keep the coupon train going. Then return the copy of MoH when Vanquish releases? It will give you a new coupon that will be active for Vanquish. Think of it as prepurchasing the game.

Trust me on this, the reason why they have those boxes is cause they have no preorder system in place. Both Epic Mickey and Fallout NV have "Preorder" boxes but all they do is allow you to spend $5 plus tax for a coupon worth $15 during the release week of the game. You don't even have to use the coupon on the intended game. You can use it on any games during the week the coupon is good for. So essentially you paying $5 for a $15 off coupon.

SHC_Gamer is trying very hard to work on creating a preorder system but currently they don't have the backing of many publishers to meet minimum numbers for most games. Kmart has done very well since adopting their Gaming coupon strategy and its gotten some attention from publishers as well their market share has started to see a large growth in video games.

No doubt due to the coupon train many people have been able to create. For example I'll be getting 4 games for $117.21 (essentially buy 2 get 2) and with that purchase I'll get 2x $20 gaming coupons which along with 2x $15 coupons I have from Fallout NV coasters nets me 2x $40 off future games which I'll then purchase the following week.

Its a bit complicated but for all new release's my net cost works out to $24.09-$26.16 after taxes. And I don't see the train ending anytime soon.

That's fucking stupid. Why is Kmart so stupid.

I think their fucking genius, they've taken me away from Amazon which I thought would never happen. Especially with having Amazon Prime and paying no tax. The preorder issue is only minor when you compare all of the benefits they've been giving us gamers.

You HAVE to buy Vanquish to get $30 off RDR. You can walk back in, but you won't get the $30 off. Just the $20 coupon.

Does that make sense? You have to spend $90 (60 for Vanquish, $30 for RDR after discount) - and you walk out with a $20 coupon on your receipt.

The coupon is printed -on the receipt-

At best buy right now:

K&L2 = $20
Split/Second = $20
Lego Rock Band = $15

Is Split Second any good?  I sort of liked Pure and I love Wipeout/Burnout but the demo seemed gimmicky and seemed like it would get old quick.

Sounds about right.  It's not like anyone has any reason to mess with the game's XBL listing and accidentally hit the "free" switch for a couple hours.

These kinds of "mistakes" always seems deliberate...
