Hmmm, some alright deals.  I wonder when I'll jump in and get an Xbox One.  Still want to play Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2/3 (3 is broke on PC) and Quantum Break (broke on PC) someday.  Seems like the One S is pretty nice, but the $299 packins are with games I don't want (Gears4/BF1) because they actually have better PC versions.

Doesn't seem worth it when the only actual Xbone game you want is Sunset Overdrive.  Wait for the others to get fixed on PC.

These games are months old (Horizon 3) or half a year old (Quantum Break).  They're done optimizing the games.  They're both just broke.  These two games will never run as well as the Xbox One versions.

Damn, I'd jump on the PC version in an instant at that price.

Steam reviews on Quantum Break are pretty positive.  I dunno about Horizon 3 but I see it's on sale on the Windows Store right now.  Do you really want to buy another console just to play like three games?  This is why I never bought an Xboner either- all I'd like to play on it is Sunset Overdrive at this point.

Are Wii U games being discontinued now that the system has been?  I have a handful of Wii U games I've wanted to buy but been waiting for a sale price (and with Nintendo 1st party that's almost never), so I check every year on BF.  This year I looked for Captain Toad, Super Mario Maker, Yoshi Woolly World and Amazon doesn't have any of them directly from Amazon, just 3rd parties.  Not sure if this is because they are sold out w/Amazon or if the games have been discontinued so I better grab them before they're impossible to find 12 months from now outside ripoff prices.

Yoshii, Captain Toad were ~$30-35 new from 3rd party sellers fulfilled by amazon w/prime shipping.

In terms of completing out my Wii U games I should own collection while they're still in stock, got some questions:

Super Mario Maker - Game is still $60 everywhere damnit.  Probably can hold off on this for another year.  If you're just going to play it single player (aka by the time I buy it the online is turned off/user levels off) are the single player levels made by Nintendo quality Mario levels worth playing?  If not, I can probably skip this.

Splatoon - Art style offends the shit out of me + I don't play MP games.  No plans to buy this, there's no reason to, right?

Pokken Tournament - Seems like a pretty weak fighter and reviews I read said it feels like a base for a better Pokken Tournament 2 in a couple years.  I can probably skip this even as a fighting game fan, I presume?

Paper Mario Color Splash - Reviews seem weak like all the Paper Mario games have been since PM2, sounds like a pass?

I think I have all the rest of the quality Wii U titles.

Bork, what made you choose that headset?

The Wirecutter recommended a different HyperX model as their pick for best 'gaming' headset.  I went to Amazon and then saw this version on sale and decided to go with it instead.  Seeing good reviews overall.  I'm sure it's fine for a budget headset.  There was also a Razer headset on sale that I was about to buy, but too many reviews saying it breaks easily scared me off.

Razer headsets suck. Audio/build quality doesn't match pricetag and the software is a piece of shit.

The Hyper X Cloud 2 is the most comfortable pair of headphones I've used. Sounds pretty great as well.

PS4 Pros are $339.99 at Amazon.

For that price, I caved and traded my old PS4 and a couple of games in for insta-credit and paid a total of $150 including shipping for the new system.  Felt worth a trade-up for that price.

Yeah, but remember the PS3 also cost 599 US DORRARS when it came out. By it's 3rd Christmas, they had released the Slim for $299.
