My granddad is on his way out. He spends 20 hours in the bed, I can't understand what he's saying when I call him (doesn't put his dentures in or something), and my grandma is always making snide comments about him which shock me. She's blind in one eye, and has slowed down after a bout with cancer but she's still very active, very loud, running between the church and the casinos...all while he stays at home. We always spend Christmas day at their house, along with most of the family (on my mom's side), and it seems like he comes alive during the visits. He'll come downstairs and talk about a bunch of stuff (he often forgets Obama is president, talks about farming, asks me if I want to be a farmer, complains about the wars, etc), But since he's in Detroit and we're 60 miles away, it's not like we can visit all the time. I don't know what's going to happen. I know my mom has asked them to move in with her and my dad, but they refuse. They've lived in the same house for more than 60 years, saw the tanks going past during the 67 riot, have watched crime take over their area yet they won't move. I have no idea what to do and neither do my parents
