I'm not crazy about his latest single, but I've heard some of his previous stuff and it's not actually bad. I'm not sure that's enough to qualify my post as sincere though, I just think he just needs ANYTHING to break the sad combo.

But then there's those assclowns that chuck the working games in the trash. I mean, you could trade that shit into Gamestop and get a dollar fifty for some chips or a cheeseburger but nooo.

I guess I'm just bitter cuz I only got maybe one or two games in a year when I was a kid. A $70 dollar game no matter how bad was not trash material in my household.

I remember Gamepro magazine having people send in copies on BMXXX to be "disposed in a trashcan" or some such, I stopped reading the magazine actively after.

I've destroyed 2 games in my life. Expect no mercy for the pc, a beyond shitty mk clone that got passed around to my class but noone would take it, and the local gameshop told me it wasn't worth the disc it was printed on. The second was that ripe piece of shit hexen 1. Fuck that game and everything it stands for. if I would have paid any money for it, I would have been severly pissed.

when I bought a sega saturn in the 2000s, the guy at funcoland felt bad and gave me a bunch of demo discs. I spend my first night playing the bug too demo.

also subscribed to OPM for demo discs. I used to write down what was on them every month. DVD #59 has Britney's Dance Beat

I miss demo discs. I dunno, dling a demo is great and all - and highly convenient! - but there was something about popping a disc in to the system, have like 5-10 demos to try out, even if they were bad. and then they'd sometimes do those import games that you'd never see the day in america.

I had a subscription to OPM because of their demos.

I miss Sony's Underground series. I thought stuff like that was so fucking cool, having seasonal demo jam packs and the like. It felt like the companies really went out of their way to give their loyal customers a treat back then.

It's reasons like this why the original playstation may always be my favorite system. I know it's nostalgia, but I can't help it.

Me too, Manta Ray Thing was very relaxing.
The T-Rex is still impressive, the way you can move all sorts of muscles was very cool. It somehow made it look as if the PSX was more technically powerful than it seems
