The outline is supposed to indicate that the characters are ready to pull off their super moves (that's what the energy bar at the bottom is for). it's a three-tier super, and you need to use supers to be able to defeat opponents.

they should've used some other type of indicator, it makes the characters look like colorforms stuck to a background

man, i just thought of a great reacharound troll:

"So, in the past few months we've had Sony announcements for a Mario Kart ripoff (LBP Karting) and a Smash Brothers ripoff (PS All-Stars). Could this be a subtle indicator of the direction Sony is heading with their next-gen console? Should we be prepared for a PS3/PS4 transition along the lines of Gamecube/Wii?"

They could even use hardware for playable characters

PS Move - jumps on the stage, everyone on screen pauses for a second then shrugs, it slowly creeps back offstage

PS Vita - has all the best attacks but doesn't know how to use them, requires an extra powerup to start working, shrinks in size until it disappears

While this is extra shameless, Sony's entire software strategy on PS1 was built upon copying other popular games. Heck, the only reason Syphon Filter even exists is due to Sony wanting a counter to Goldeneye.

Besides, the two last times Sony did a blatant copy of something Nintendo, they made something better.

since this thread lack a video and info

http://the-magicbox.com/1204/game120426c.shtml

character

- Kratos
- Parappa
- Sly Cooper
- a fat princess from fat princess
- that clown dude from twisted metal
- a killzone soldier

Stages seems to mix two games into one,so far there is

- Patapon + God of War
- God of War + Ratchet
- Everybody's Golf + Jak & Dexter
- Little Big Planet + Buzz

AAA Material here,we just need madden and a car from gran turismo

More characters like Parappa and less like fucking Radec. No one cares about Killzone. The characters in that franchise are about as memorable as the sandwich I made for my lunch yesterday.

One thing I will give this game is that I think the stage transitions are really cool. It's a good way to incorporate franchises that would be difficult to represent with characters (specifically LocoRoco).

Sony lost the sales (not that I think they cared because they put the thing out with no support), but Move is largely considered superior to Nintendo Waggle. Still waggle at the end of the day though.

Loco Roco and Patapon would make rad characters.  With Fat Princess they've shown that they're willing to made mental decisions that require a bit of creativity to get to work in the game style, I think LR and Patapon would work as well.  Kat ought to be a lock too.  It's a shame that Sony's best-known and relevant characters are their absolute bottom-of-the-pile worst (except for Sackboy, but I have been soured on him by all the avatars).

And an Echochrome stage would be awesome :o

Wollan and Kittonwy were fine because they were larger-than-life goofballs that were serious about their devotion but not that serious about how they came off.  They made me laugh (sometimes).  There are way worse Sony fans on gaf currently.

The downfall of this game, from watching those GameTrailers chucklefucks talk about it, will most likely be how it's built around the Final Smash mechanic from Brawl. Final Smash is the grossest example of Nintendo trying to mitigate skill disparity since Mario Kart's blue shell.  Parappa has a super that insta-kills everyone. that's like eight blue shells of holy shit this is hot trash.

At the very least I hope they have a mode where you get a different scoring system. Ideally, I would love the smash percentage system, but maybe the developer feels that's too close to Smash and/or they believe their own "it looks similar, but it's actually different" spin.

I hope they include some of the more fun characters and not too much real people nonsense like killzone/resistance/uncharted/whatevz. Loco Roco and Patapon could be swarm-like characters where you had direct control over a small group of loco rocos/patapons and the amount of characters you had could be affected.

I wish Drake wasn't even in this game. He's too realistic compared to everyone else, but unfortunately there's no way he won't be in this.

I just hope SCEJ's franchises are included. Parappa, Hot Shots, and Patapon already being featured in some form is a good sign.

Game looks less bad than expected.  Was much safer to just make a smash clone than try to make an original party fighter that would have been terrible.

Still, no interest in playing it since the Sony cast are not people I want to play as in fighting games.

It's a shame I'm no long in undergrad and living with a bunch of friends.

Playing Mario Kart or Smash were just better drunk and with 10 people in the room. Playing MK7 is totally boring and I can't see how me playing this alone online will be any better.

Does the Fat Princess Princess have a fatness mechanic? can you press down and square at the same time to eat cake for instance and get fatter? Does getting fatter mean you move/attack slower and deal more damage? If you max out your fatness do you grab turn into a oicho throw?

answer: no, because this game won't be as cool as the concept allows.

I wonder what happened to Jumping Flash. Sony made 4 of those games on PS1 and then it just vanished.

I wonder if Scamco would allow Klonoa to be DLC or something? Then again, based on the Wii remake's sales I'm probably going to be the only one who'd want to play as Klonoa in this game.
