I keep telling you, we can make a black conservative star out of you.  I know plenty of angry white folks and Mandark can provide the rest.

I should create a pseudonym and release an ebook on Amazon.

That's a long slog though.  I'm thinking some Allen West batshittery mixed in with some Thomas Sowell "common sense"/condescending paternalism.  We could have PD on Fox News in a few weeks.

Honestly, I've thought about creating some fake right-wing website to peddle the usual Benghazi-like bullshit. Wingnuts are a great source of income. The only thing stopping me is that I don't know if I'd be able to sleep easy after that.

"Conservatives believe that every person is capable of the dignity of work and self-sufficiency, while liberals think that blacks and other minorities can't survive without government handouts, or find work without government-enforced racial quotas.  And just as white liberals don't expect black men to be capable of doing a job, they've applied the lowered standards of affirmative action to a black president, defending him as he turns the United States into a welfare recipient, and re-electing him as he plays the knockout game with our international reputation."

I want to legally change my name to Biff Kommieslayer, move to a Republican's district and run against them from the far, far right fringe. Like, publicly advocate killing poor people and busing the elderly to the desert to drop them off in lieu of medicare/ss. I'd throw big campaign events with lots of hot, skanky chicks with tattoos in bikinis, and a whole shit ton of free beer.

Don't tell me you're surprised.

I used to joke all the time that if the government offered people free wheelchairs for people who couldn't watch, conservatives would bitch that it would provide an incentive for people to break their legs.

And guess what?

Some idiot congressman made essentially that same argument! :punch

Sheeeeeit, "the government plantation" is semi-standard rhetoric once you get far out enough on the right.  174k hits on Google, and it's not all reposts about a single quote or anything like that.  Gonna fit right in, Darius.

"I do not like this kind of hope, and we won't take it - nope, nope, nope," she finished.

The funny thing about that poll is that no matter how hard Santorum tries, the base just doesn't love him. He is always out there fighting gay marriage, raising money for candidates, promoting homeschooling, etc yet nothing is good enough. Usually the guy in second place last time becomes a front runner. I get the impression even conservatives know Santorum's anger and hatred is just not appealing.

These CPAC polls are useless. Didn't Papa Paul used to win them all the time too? They mean fuck all. One of two things will happen- the base will get their crazy choice this time (Cruz, Huck, Santorum) or it will be some boring ass Scott Walker fucker. Either way, they're going to get eaten alive by Hillary.

The Minnesota congresswoman told talk show host Lars Larson in an interview at CPAC that the gay community distorted the Arizona bill by making it about gay rights — even though the bill’s sponsor himself said it was about same-sex marriage.

“There’s nothing about gays in there, but the gay community decided to make this their measure,” Bachmann said. “And the thing that I think is getting a little tiresome is the gay community have so bullied the American people and they have so intimidated politicians that politicians fear them and they think they get to dictate the agenda everywhere.”
Maybe it's time for the American people to bully the gay community back?

It's easy for "O" to hate the USA because he isn't a US citizen, it's ok if he **DISRESPECTS** the USA because USA isn't in his vocabulary either, Obamaville is though. He probably isn't aware that he misspelled anything, he doesn't understand English, he's more fond of the Latino language. LOL

http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/shapiro-how-debate-leftist

Quote
The goal of the debate will not be to win over the leftist, or to convince him or her, or to be friends with him or her. That person already disagrees with you, and they're not going to be convinced by your words of wisdom and your sparkling rhetorical flourishes. The goal will be to destroy the leftist in as public a way as is humanly possible.

...

Rule #1: "Walk Toward the Fire." According to Shapiro, conservatives must learn to "embrace the fight" and know that they will be attacked, because this is war. His advice is simple: "You have to take the punch, you have to brush it off. You have to be willing to take the punch."
Rule #2: "Hit First. Don't take the punch first." Rule number two is: ignore rule number one, if their punch is coming first. Hit first, then brush it off. Just like Gandhi always said.
Rule #3: "Frame Your Opponent." Your leftist opponent will, according to Shapiro, call you a racist and a sexist, so in response call them a "liar and a hater." This third rule is described as "the vital first step. It is the only first step." That's why it comes third.
Rule #3: "Frame the debate."
Rule #4: "Spot Inconsistencies in the Left's Arguments."
Rule #5: "Force Leftists to Answer Questions. This is really just a corollary of Rule #4."
Rule #6: "Do Not Get Distracted."
Rule #7: "You Don't Have To Defend People on Your Side."
Rule #8: "If You Don't Know Something, Admit It."
Rule #9: "Let The Other Side Have Meaningless Victories."
Rule #10: "Body Language Matters."

I'm almost afraid to ask but what are his views on pre marital sex? My google searches dwell on his gay marriage comments, especially about the Grammys.

I often find myself sitting back and realizing that just a few years ago Shapiro, Breitbart and others were sitting pretty lampooning France, laughing at Olbermann, declaring gay marriage DOA, and killing Bush's immigration push. The changing of the political climate has been pretty impressive, and isn't going away thanks to demographics.

I can't tell whether Shapiro knows he's fighting a long defeat, whether he's on the "expand the white vote" bandwagon, or whether he doesn't give a shit and just wants to incite as much chaos as possible.

I'm pretty sure he copy pasted Daily Kos comments at the beginning of that article. Quite an impressive "you don't have to take my word for it" demonstration.

On one hand I want to give him a pass because I remember my hardcore Christian phase (my AOL handle was once Cannon4Christ87). But I was a teen, not a grown ass man. Even at my worst all I did was troll Jehova's Witnesses, stan P.O.D, and explain why Narnia was better than Dragonlance based on moral reasons.

The thing I really like about his "Bullies" explanations in those videos, especially the interview one, is basically his argument starts out that the left doesn't actually discuss facts or policy or really even debate they just call you a racist or whatever. Which is okay, nothing new there, Rush Limbaugh's probably made that argument a thousand times or more. But Shapiro's "answer" is to just call them "thugs" or "liars" back or go "no, you're the real racist for bringing up race!" And that this is the only way to fight back and make sure his side wins because this is how the left wins debates.

There's basically no "well, that's just the way they are but conservatives should be better" aspect to it, he's more or less just saying "welp, you gotta be worse then they are!"

In that interview he literally says that to deny being a racist or any other charge is conceding the ground to the left so ignore it and just call them a thug back.

It's an extended excuse for why he just wants to insult people instead of bother to attempt making arguments.

The key to arguing with someone in real life (or on social media) who has strongly held political beliefs is to NEVER DO IT unless maybe they're under a certain age.  After that, people are set in their ways.  From there you just gauge how much you'll be forced to interact with the person and how best to drop the hint that you aren't interested in hearing about the latest chain emails they received.

Last time I broke this rule was shortly after the George Zimmerman verdict.  A guy I already didn't care for was spouting the standard racist stuff that was going around at the time, and I wound up getting in his face.  As in literally invading his personal space and berating him loudly until he couldn't make eye contact or complete a coherent sentence.  Story sounds better when I include that he's 80 lbs heavier than me, but then I'd be obligated to admit that it's all fat and this guy wouldn't throw rice at a wedding.  It was just me losing my composure, but I don't really regret it.  Fuck that noise.

I guess I'm just weird*. I can't recall the last time I got upset let alone angry with a view or over an argument and I don't really see the value that people get out of the Impotent Rage™ where they're raving with insults and such at the ones who disagree.

I mean, I'm sure I have, especially probably while drunk or after being attacked personally, but I can't remember anything in years. If you've got the time I could probably list like a billion times where people are angry and raving at me though. (Like the poor Kurd in grad school who I managed to get arguing that Saddam massacring his people was morally right. At least he didn't it take it too personally...for too long.)

But what does Shapiro get out of calling some leftist a thug and liar and hater and so on? I don't understand what's in it for him. (Other than financial interests obviously.) Or people on GAF or Reason or YouTube or National Review or HuffPo Super Users or WaPo readers or whoever that's practically frothing at the keyboard in anger at Obama or Palin or Pelosi or Boehner or Iwata or J Allard. (Or say, my racist Uncle who just recently discovered InfoWars!) Maybe I just can't imagine being that consumed with rage over a disagreement in opinion. Even if the other person is promoting oral sex and keeping lists of the men they performed it on, the easy disease ridden harlot.

*Okay, no guess about it.

Or maybe you're just more cool headed. I have a friend like you. Every argument/discussion we've ever had he's never 100% serious even when he's espousing an opinion he truly holds. He just doesn't get angry at least in our social circle.
