Crazy shit. Liked both main events. PPV started off as just shit-tier with that pre-show, but ended up better than anything WWE has put on lately. They still have things they need to improve and I don't see them kicking WWE's ass in this state, but I guess wait for TNT TV and all that.

Dirt sheet rumors/reports:

-The Cody chairshot to the head at the last AEW show was a botch- the chair was gimmicked, but Shawn Spears fucked up and legit injured Cody. That was a really, really stupid spot IMO. Shots like that to the head being banned is a good thing and they should have left it that way.

-Heyman officially started his new role Monday, but only had a small influence on how things went. Both he and Bischoff are supposed to be transitioning slowly into their new positions and it may be weeks or even months before they have "full control." Not sure how the latter is happening when they still report to Vince.

-Raw viewership went UP after the Heyman announcement

-Bischoff doesn't start until mid-July. Might explain why Raw seemed a little different than normal and SD was pretty much the same old shit.

-Corey Graves' "holy shit!" line from Raw was approved and scripted. Shock and awe!

-Supposedly the angle with Lashley and Braun was done to explain a set change coming soon. Uh...why? Why do we need a STORYLINE to explain set changes?

-AJ Styles turning heel on Ricochet was planned out a while ago and not the result of Heyman coming onboard. Gallows and Anderson are said to be re-signing with the WWE, but it's not official yet. Assuming that this is why they suddenly have started getting back on TV and are now with Styles again.

-Sheamus is healed up and ready to return to TV.

-John Cena finally got a decent haircut again!

Heyman is on record as saying that Maria has a very underrated mind for the creative side of the business so it wouldn't surprise me, but Maria and Mr. Maria did just resign so that's probably a good bit of it too, tosses them a bone and serves as an example for other talent thinking about leaving or staying
