NXT absolutely won tonight, it was a fantastic show. But they basically ran a takeover and didn't have any commercial breaks (just did the picture in picture) and they can't do that every week.

One odd thing was they talked about the cruiserweight title but called it the nxt cruiserweight title. so wtf is gonna happen on 205 live now?

Not gonna lie, even before they added Finn and Ciampa back to the mix, you could have promoted like half of the NXT roster, taken a bunch of performance center signees that haven't had tv time yet and put em on Wednesday nights, and still have a more interesting roster than AEW. I feel like absent some sort of miraculous development, the best thing AEW will have done is give us more NXT, so thanks fat Jericho and the Elite!

Also: if they're going to let Finn go back to NXT, they should let Asuka come back and murderdeathkill Shayna Baszler, cause who else is gonna take her on now?

Nah NXT roster is pretty legit. They've even got big dudes on there. Granted they're Keith Lee and Dijakovdkckdkdkdkkddcccccch and can do crazy top rope shit but still.

Probably unpopular opinion: the AEW announce team is pretty much the best one going from what I've heard so far. Honestly I'm not sure that's because they're particularly GOOD but they're competent and most announce teams just suck, and if you're in the WWE you have to contend with having a senile 70 year old republican yelling in your ear constantly. JR is the weak link of the team, tho.

Yeah commentary and the look of the show were the two brightest spots of AEW and stood out compared to WWE. Granted it might just be because I hate the new LED overload Raw set, curious to see what SD looks like tomorrow.

I got high hopes for Vic and Dio once they eventually ditch Lawler on Raw. Smackdown sounds like it'll be the same old thing since its Cole/Graves.

King also doesn't have a history of being the play by play reliable guy. He can just yell WOW and HOLY CRAP and that's 90% of what he did in the 90's. JR has taken a bigger fall from his peak and (on the AEW PPVs and NJPW shows) he just sounds like he's not doing any research on the wrestlers or their moves and just figures he can work through it, but he can't.
