Wayforward hasn’t had an actual announced project since last year, so I wonder if they’ve been assisting in the background for a while now?

They probably just didn't have any money. I have a former coworker who has suffered through the abusive relationship of being a Wayforward employee and being employed by them every other year.

can't even tell which looks "better".
Well you see, the newer one has a default fire effect thingee in it, so it's clearly better!

Yeah, perhaps the other Bloodstained game is free this month on Xbox to promote interest for an imminent release of the main game?

The shitty graphics are really distracting, but the level design itself looks cool.

Getting around to watching the N direct and uh, this game is apparently on some Klonoa 2.5D type shit in addition to the inversion stuff seen in the other standalone trailer. IGA has kept some secrets and I am hype as fuck to finally play this whenever it happens. :hyper

Even though I have a physical PS4 one locked in, I would much rather play a digital version.  Not being too demanding of a game, I'm on the fence about whether getting the PS4 one or the PC version.  the beta ran great on teh laptopz.  Will the PC version have mods eventually?  that could be the selling point.

Dunno but AFAIK, early access and the quickest release is supposed to be on PC, unless something has changed.

The first batch went on sale earlier today and all limited "classic edition" copies (Vita/PS4/Switch) and the regular Vita version (of which they made 2,000) sold out in minutes. There's a second batch later today, at 6pm ET (~6 hours from now).

This is normal for LRG.  Would estimate the CEs were gone 2-3 minutes after they went up.  Actually took longer than expected.

Snagged regular PS4 and Vita copies and a Switch CE.  Might get a regular Switch version too.  Switch and PS4 regular versions will be open pre-orders until 3/26, so no rush on those.

And the Vita version is gone, took <2 minutes. Wonder why they didn't make some more.

The limited editions took ~3 minutes to sell out.

Got everything.

Edit: I think this is going to become one of LRG's more valuable releases, people are paying twice the price or more on ebay already.

Nah, I'm sure they had way more copies of this produced than some other releases.

Don't know what LRG's most valuable release is or if anything from them is even really that up there- I have a game from Strictly Limited Games (Gryphon Knight Epic) that lists for $250+.  Haven't seen anything like that from an LRG release.

You can still get regular versions for PS4 and Switch- those are open pre-orders.

Ritual Of The Night is 720P (dynamic when docked) 30 FPS on Switch.  Planning on playing this on PC regardless, but if the other versions are all 60 FPS...ouch.  No confirmation yet on how PS4/Xbone run.

Found out that the main game is getting a physical release too. I guess then it can't hurt too much to give it a try (and sell it, if it's as questionable as it looked during some parts of the development).

Those are horrible.  Not that it's not a great idea, but holy shit folks... You're about to be immortalized in an Iga game....  Fucking own it and put some effort into it, not just make a nerd smirk or a piss poor attempt of The people's eye in a modern dress jacket.   :punch

I really hope this is good. While I would enver claim to be a castlevania expert or anything I've enjoyed quite a number of the games and It's a property/franchise I think a bout a lot. It's presentation/aesthetic for most of it's life has been a big influence on me.

hey everyone, we're aware of street date being broken
just FYI if you play before official launch date, you're going to be missing out on a LOT of stuff
ther's a very big day zero patch
that fixes a lot of stuff and implements a lot of other things that aren't in the build that's on disc with retailers
last I checked it was like 4-5 gb worth
considering the total game is somewhere around 20gb, I would recommend NOT playing the game if you get it from a place that broke street date
it's one store so far that we're aware of
day zero patch is day before launch

So technically, I can just play the game, finish it, then sell it, but keep that Backer slip cover... then when I decide to sell it, I buy copy of the game again on the low?   :doge  I know unopened is the way to go though.
