sad they didn't have fun watching Event Horizon. hilarious shit and a lot of fun imo. also, sam neil's character was just twisted by engaging with the interdimensional force seeing his dead wife through the warp drive mirror, like all the other people in the log entries, becoming a vessel for the demons within or something. mike's overthinking, or maybe not keeping an open enough mind? always liked it for the hellraiser in space vibe and reimagining hell as an alternate dimension with a portal ripped open through a device that warps spacetime.

they're just soooo far off comprehending the most basic aspects of the film it's hard to take the critique seriously. the aspect of some demonic force using the occupants as hosts/realising their deepest fears scarecrow style just wasn't that hard to understand lol. I haven't seen Event Horizon since I originally rewatched it on video release after seeing it at the cinema, and like Jay I remember liking it but not sure how it would hold up on a modern rewatch.

Its pretty fucking clearly the unlicenced Doom / Quake movie
