It might be their funniest video. It's either that or the Ep 3 review.

For real though, just use numbers. Or if for some asinine reason you can't, use subtitles.

I sorta accept movies named the same if they're hard reboots, and if the sequels to the reboot use numbers/subtitles, but outside of that... knock this shit off.

He hit on a couple good points I hadn't thought about, especially the comedy of errors section. I couldn't place my finger on why the movie's story felt so limp to me but I think that's a great explanation.

I don't think I agreed with about 20% of the review, and yeah, there wasn't much fire behind the mic, but it was a pretty good critique. Just not in the same tier as his best.

my friends are all star wars people (I give them an untold amount of grief for it) so i'm sure they will bait me into watching it sometime with some social blackmail scheme (wont get me to the cinema though)

O SHIT BOYS

He took a dump on this shit movie. I was actually feeling it until Rey ditched Kylo making all the development before pointless. If they took out the C plot with Finn and Rose and cut it at the point where he puts his hand out I would have thought it was fantastic. Instead it promises to subvert Star Wars tradition and then reverts to the old ways within ten seconds. Crap movie. I don't want to see another Star Wars after it. i have not seen Solo and I will not see Episode IX.

Also good on them for showing how much Star Trek takes a steaming dump on Star Wars.

Star Wars fucking sucks.

I’m glad Mike is realizing that Kylo Ren being a intentional dumbass edgelord doesn’t make him a good character if they still playing it as a straight Vader Clone. Anakin was unintentionally bad and awful but there was at least a (shallow) sincerity than “IS LIKE VADER BUT DUMBER BE AFRAID” of Ren.

There is no way they ignore part 9. There is just too much anticipation for their reactions (to all things Star Wars) for them to ignore it.

I feel bad for them, because they clearly don't enjoy the franchise anymore but they are kind of forced to see this thing out.

I honestly think that Finn should be the main character of the trilogy over Rey, specially if they wanted to bring true about ending the bloodline and destiny stuff. Is ironic that the only thing that could make her interesting, after her mistery box was discovered to be empty, was teaming up with a awful wannabe character. Because that could actually change the paradigms of the franchise while keeping Luke and the new characters.

Former willful storm trooper that realizes how wrong the first order is, leaves, struggles with massive guilt and temptation from the dark side, only to become a Jedi master at the end of the trilogy would have been amazing and an incredible flip on Darth Vader’s character.

Those deleted scenes though  :whoo No way I will touch that dude's trilogy. As if what was released didn't feel prequel-era enough already, with some of the only good parts being that he could use old characters he didn't create.

The deleted scenes took this even further into prequel shit tier than it was already. I hadn’t seen them and I’m embarrassed they were made and also for the actors involved. To be a black main character that uses a lightsaber and has a grand finale in the first film only to be turned into a gay joke. They did Finn wrong.

Mike completely trashed this movie in the most comprehensive way.

The Star Trek / Star Wars montage was just painful. Just like him going back to scenes with nervous as fuck Johnson not knowing what the fuck he was doing.
This is one of the best reviews of anything ever created.

It's a work of art.

The TFA review is bad but because is clear he enjoyed TFA and was annoyed of people saying the prequels were “better”...

That’s why is surprising that he admits, I think in the HitB of the Last Jedi or Rogue One, that Lucas was more sincere than the Disney boardroom.

He even backhanded admitted in this review that Rey defeating Kylo Ren in the TFA is kind of dumb unless is intended to make Kylo Ren a overhyped dumbass.

Finn's first appearance being used for laughs in that bacta tank suit foreshadowed his character going to waste for the rest of the film. I guess in fairness, it also happened to others too.

correctly calling rian johnson out for being an absolute filmschool freshman with a desperation to be noticed but without the talent to make his work stand out organically when everyone was still on his 4 and a half inches is one of my greater forum loser victories.

doesn't really matter. if you're paying to go see IX it's purely out of morbid curiosity or some bizarre allegiance to disney's corporate wokeness.
