But on desktop I greatly prefer this old-school interface to the Xenforo stuff.

The old neogaf (darktheme) desktop site and the old neogaf mobile site were the pinnacles in aesthetic simplicity IMO.

I hate the imbedded crap with the "click to expand" option on ERA (At least on mobile).  90% of the time I click to expand a tweet and I get redirected to twitter instead. 

The bore is now the standard everyone else should aspire to.

You have to clicknprecisely on the text, if you accidentally click on the post itself it will redirect you to the tweet. Happens to me #fatfingersproblems
