Why is there four ways to access a forum from the main landing page?
Why is everything off-center?
Why is everything so busy, yet filled with tons of deadspace?
If your site revolves around four different pages, (two of which the majority of the userbase uses,) why not just have a basic page that allows you to easily access them?
Why are you using mobile/touch-friendly design blocks, but have cramped & small hyperlinks/icons filling them in?
Why is there a "Quick Jump" feature a mere inch away from a "hamburger menu” that does the exact same thing?

Looks like their design team went with the aesthetic of "Desperately grabbing for a box of Prevacid while suffering from Vertigo"

The style package is so very clearly intended for forums with lots of board sections, hence the menu/nav overload. It looks so fucking dumb on era. Absolutely 0 brains on that staff team.

If memory servers, this is what James Rolfe was arguing. I've always had the feeling that Women and minorities should be insulted by the absolute lack of effort to make the inclusive reboots any good. Its used as a marketing gimmick and nothing more.

Remove the similar threads footer. It is wholly useless; the only thing that should serve as the footer is the Post Reply box -- that's it
Shrink the search box and put the items from the lame hamburger sidebar menu in its place among the top bar, thus eliminating the need for said lame hamburger sidebar menu. Hell, you could just remove the search box altogether and put a search link on the top bar and the problem is solved.
Put Top and Bottom quick jump buttons, as well as a quick Refresh button on the top and bottom of the page
Remove avatars from thread titles. Absolutely baffling choice as it just makes the lists look messy and unorganized. Not to mention some users have questionable avatars that would make browsing the main board problematic at work
Thread titles should be black like in 1.0. No need to overdo the Resetera purple.
Hover-over list function for alerts how it was in 1.0 needs to return.
Remove the Quick Jump tab, as it adds an unnecessary click. The top bar could just house the links to all of the subforums
The wasted space to the left and right margins of posts isn't great
Images are messed up, please fix it
The OP indicator should be how it was in 1.0
A user's quoted posts should be highlighted how it was in 1.0
A user's post should be highlighted how it was in 1.0
The "New" tags are unnecessary
The "Videogame", "EtcetEra", and "Hangout" tags are unnecessary
I thought the thread covers would be a great idea, but they are (as of right now) terribly over-sized and jarring in contrast to the overall forum's theme. In particular, it is terribly sized on mobile viewing
Again, for all that is good and holy, nuke the thread creator avatars from the thread list. That's my biggest gripe as it just makes the main board quite awful to look at as a whole, woof

The top bar with the Era logo is actually super sexy and I believe it holds the key to fixing a lot of the above concerns. Stick the contents of the hamburger sidebar menu up there (and then nuke the thing) and we should be good to go!

I really hope the staff takes all of the community's concerns seriously and works with us to make this site the best it can be, fingers crossed. Also, I hope this post isn't seen as rude to the people that have obviously put in long hours of hard work for the re-design. I really appreciate the team's commitment to keeping things fresh.

What's funny is all of these things were posted in the beta thread the last few weeks leading up to the 2.0 "upgrade". lol
