I was gonna say, I do everything in my power to erase that stain of a game; SOR3, from my mind, so as far as I'm concerned, running was never cannon in the series.

Why does that combo counter get so fucking large?? Takes up WAY too much real estate. It feels like now that they can make a "back then, arcade caliber" game, they're copied too much other brawlers of the past... the character select tiles look a bit too much like TMNT. And those voices sound pretty uninspired. HOWEVER... the fighting looks fun a shit still. I set my expectations on the music as, "nothing will ever top SOR1 & 2 EVER... so no point in holding ultra high hopes"... Animation quality is there too, so... still totally onboard...

Well, none of this is surprising. I watched the GameXplain 16 minutes of footage and the only song that sounded like SOR was the boss music against the whip ladies. What else is there isn't bad, but it gives the game a different vibe, which I'm not sure was what people wanted after the already shaky and weird SOR3.

Well I cant say im not happy with it! Still curious about the new OST..and its weird how they just put in the pixel models since it really clashes with their new art style. But hey more options is always great!

From what I understand, games on game pass get a lot of $$$ which pretty much supports the game/team. Plus good games will always sell a bunch on steam as well. I don't feel bad playing stuff for free on game pass. Like Ori 1/2 were great, but I'm fine not giving them money, I'm sure they're doing well enough.

I bought the Limited Run special edition in the Genesis case. I probably shouldn't have jumped on the SE, but ahh well. Should be a fun little beat em up to play through and it can't be any worse than 3.

Gameplay looks good. The music in this Axel gameplay vid feels like mockery though. If it doesn't grow on me, I'll probably only do one playthrough with the new soundtrack.

That's the only song he did for this game, however, and SoR4 will likely have a much better soundtrack overall.

The Takeover was good after a number of updates. But Fight N'Rage kicks its ass all over the place- hope SoR4 is as good as FnR is.

I'm trying hard not to complain about the music, but so much of it sounds so... empty. It's like they're incomplete. The track in the Floyd vid, Cherry's vid until like 50 seconds in (it actually sounds decent after this point), Adam's vid sounds like a super tame and watered down SoR2 track, the Axel vid is a fucking joke, and the Blaze vid also sounds empty as hell. I haven't heard of Olivier Deriviere until now, but he and whoever hired him are on my shit list.
