Most of the worst of the garbage thread stays in the garbage thread. People who have moved out that aren't liked like Assi are only a couple or so, especially for bigoted reasons. (I note this since I know lots of people ignore the thread entirely, but there's way more "bad" and bigoted posters that could come out of it than Assi but don't or almost never do. Transgenocide advoacate marrec, for one.)
And really, Assi's more of a problem in that he'll derail threads but only argue with his opinion of the moment, yet people generally respond to him as if it's more than that and he's thought about it, that's why Mandark made the split-off thread for his silly women/feminism/crap versus the relationship thread standards for example.
I don't think he's enough to get people to move on, especially when many of our recent old timers who departed from being regulars did so even before etoliate flew too close to the sun. And Assi's garbage hot takes are easily ignored and not exactly all over the place as much as they are confined to a handful of threads until someone makes a thread about how he should be banned or hanged or whatever like every other week because he's had a latest garbage rambling somewhere.
Dude's not even that coherent much of the time, let alone an actual reason I think someone would leave the place versus real life stuff.
Now if he was handing out L's to posters like etoliate did, I could see people running away in shame...
