I dunno if Israel is inherently an apartheid state but it seems to me, unless something is evading me, that it cannot be a Jewish state, a democracy with equal rights for all citizens and allowing for a non Jewish majority (the potential thereof or a large minority). Which would be less of a potential problem if Israel didn't occupy and thus claim and administer what we qualify as Palestine (and it's mostly Muslim population) or if they actually we're working to a viable two state solution. Unless they come up with some Lebanese compromise but that's not exactly a good perspective to look forward.
Israel has a right to exist but they cannot have their cake and eat it too.
