Honestly, most of those games seem like probable ass (outer worlds from over-the-hill Obsidian and control from over-the-hill Remedy) or are known, old ass (the shitty David cage games and the Ubisoft stuff)
And before I catch shit for it, I don't understand the hype for outer worlds..at all. "Obsidian" doesn't make good rpgs. Writers, designers, and directors do, and the people responsible for just about everything that's regarded as a classic (kotor 2, new vegas, alpha protocol if I'm being nice) from the company in the past 15 years either left the company or chained themselves to the sinking pillars of eternity ship. Tim Cain's work on Fallout can't be understated, but that was a long, long time ago and a shooter rpg is an entirely different beast than a crpg from 20 years ago. The "Obsidian name" brought us dungeon siege 3. They aren't immune to releasing crap.
Having multiple digital store fronts is bad for the consumer.
I'm really not sure why I'm supposed to be upset about this. I already have to boot up origin and bnet for their exclusives. Being split across several stores and launchers was already what I was dealing with. This isn't any more or less anti consumer than it already is to me and the freakouts over the epic store just remind me of origins starting days. Just because I had mass effect 1 and 2 on steam and mass effect 3 suddenly had to be bought on origin did not destroy my experience as a pc gamer.
