not sure about that, the flu is quite virulent and mutates quite quick, the antigenic drift coupled with how you have many strains lends to a stubborn illness
just consider, even getting inoculated isn't guaranteed effective

I got a flu shot and I still was out cold for a week. 

Sure it triggered less of my asthma because of the shot but even if you get the shot you can still get the flu.

I basically use my doctor as a sentient prescription pad now. You have to be very clear and give them direct instructions on what’s on your shopping list.
