lol, my house is like cookie cutter cheap 1990 crap, but I love the layout and amount of space.

The lady we bought this place from bragged how she did a bunch of "upgrades" herself...and it shows.  Gonna have a contractor come in and redo this crap right.  While I doubt she would installed the old water heater we just got replaced, I had estimates done and guys were taking photos of it because they had never seen such a weird install job.    Fucking thing somehow worked for 19 years though.

Overall I've always had fun being a moderator and it's helped me springboard into where I am today. It's also nicely tied into my love of video games and marketing in general at various points in my life. Being able to identify and solve community problems is always fun and I've thought about doing some consulting work in the future since many organizations and groups miss the mark on running a healthy community.

Besides, there are so many times when I come on to Era and see someone banned who was having fun in a gaming thread just the last time I saw them. Or someone who posted a thread about an important social issue, but had run afoul somewhere else. It's not a dopamine rush, but some disappointment that is felt when you find out someone is banned.

Besides, the impact of someone being banned isn't always seen by the community. When someone is banned who happens to be a dependent, helpful or comforting resource for some other members, they can be impacted by the loss of access to the banned member. There is no "too bad ha ha" dopamine rush associated with this at all when you must ban someone.

They're one of 17 states where all that matters is your gender identity.  This is costing some of these girls scholarships.  The two who their families are referring to in the suit have won 15 championship races since 2017.  To even question any single part of this on Era, you'd be instantly permed.

It feels like an extended verbal pat on the back where their notions about life, race, society are reconfirmed with jokes but nothing like self deprecating humor or insightful jabs at people or groups on their own side. Good comedy is often about cutting through the every stupidity but conservatives actually want to hear that bull shit front and center and nothing else.

A lot of conservatives in my experience project confidence and strength but are actually extremely fragile and incapable of taking the kind of ribbing that defines good comedy.

They only feel confident in numbers hence why they go to all those Trump rallies for reinforcement that they're not a minority.

It's a culture war, they want liberals to be the butt of jokes.
