The new PS5 model will reportedly require an Internet connection to use the disc drive.  Unsure if it's just for first time set up or if it's always needed.

It's a one time thing to pair it to the console. I assume it will already be done on the disc SKU. Note that one time online authentication is needed for BD movies playback as well, that's been the case since the PS4 (3?).

It doesn’t feel like it, but it’s been three years.

It’s crazier to me that rumors of a Pro are floating around. Three years was about the gap between the 4 and the 4 Pro. That’s just how it’s gonna be, it seems.

Got the Spider-Man 2 platinum. Pretty easy and no horrific Screwball-type time trial mission bullshit.

The main story was just really well done. Growing up on that 1994 spider-man cartoon, it just hit all the right notes for me.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (lol) looks typical batshit crazy.. totally on board.  And Kojima making a tactical espionage new IP for PS after DS2?  Yes please!

Rise of the Ronin looks like Ghost of Tsushima with Sekiro/Bloodborne gameplay, and then some.  Gameplay looks quite varied and dope.

That was one of the better SOP they we had in awhile

:lol  Funny how Korean devs, from my perspective, are picking up the reins that Japan trailblazed over 20 years ago with character design, and probably gameplay too.  Still, it's better than alot of western styles.  And with the theme and story of what this game supposedly is, feels fitting that they should be "flawless" and "perfect", so to speak.

I wouldn't be surprised though if one of her skins/outfits has her with a bob haircut and a blindfold...  :doge  Zero shame. lol

Tried out Stellar Blade demo, but only the first intro part.  This game seems pretty damn solid so far.  No janks, just yanks.  :itagaki Glad I pre-ordered this, because I love what I played so far.  Will have to juggle between this and DD2. Feasting!!!

SB feels like a polished Remake of a classic PS2 era title.   :delicious

But there will be even more on the way later, via free DLC. Speaking to IGN, Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet told us there were plans for eventual free DLC for Astro Bot, coming “soon” after launch. He says it will be based around adding more challenge levels to the game – shorter levels focused on specific platforming challenges – but that won’t be the only component.

This game will come close to reaching Dragon's Dogma 2 as GOTY (and that's saying A LOT coming from me).  Mario Odyssey brought nothing new in innovation.  It was a glorified Mario 64... which isn't a bad thing, it's just that Asobi is bursting at the seams with new ways of interaction (thanks to the DualSense), while still embracing the classic 3D platforming charm of said Mario 64 (and then some).  This looks like, and is generating, the same feels of SEGA in the 90's caliber of bright, fast, ballistic, creative gaming that doesn't let up and surprises every second.  Asobi; as small as they are, should be Sony's Trojan horse dev... No question.

Someone please humble Sony. It's the only way they ever get out of their arrogant mode. They need to be bitchslapped and lose market share. I was so looking forward to a PS5 Pro. I do not have a PS5. I figured the Pro would be viable to upgrade towards. This costs 700 and doesn't have a disc drive. What in the absolute shit.
