I am well aware of the value of yellow herbs. I have two red herbs sitting in my inventory right now waiting for a single green herb to drop to combine them with. Unfortunately that has not happened for two chapters.

Considering how much damage I take, and how quickly I die (three solid enemy hits seems to be about all I can take before I keel over dead, and that's after eating two G+R+Y herbs in chapter 1) I really just can't walk into Del Lago or El Gigante without a bunch of full-heals stocked. I am not good at avoiding damage in this game because of how badly Leon controls, so I NEED an overabundance of healing to keep me from ragequitting the entire game due to repeated deaths.

Like the Fish Farm I was just at last night before I got pissed and turned the game off for the night, has something like 14 normal ganados AND a hammer guy skulking around there, and I can kill, like, two of them before I'm overwhelmed. And that's AFTER stealth killing three or four of the dumb ones just standing around in the water waiting for a knife to the neck.

For me it's the exact opposite. I am typically showered in ammo and money, but healing never drops.

how is it that planetsmasher ALWAYS finds himself in the most compromising, 1 in 100 chance of happening position in every single videogame he plays? how has he not found a healing item in TWO CHAPTERS? RE4's item drops don't even work this way, this mf is insane.

A few years ago, my partner at the time and I were discussing a similar topic. I think it was when Captain Marvel was getting review bombed by chuds. I made a comment to her, similar to yours, about how giving them attention is what they want.

She pretty quickly put me in my place and told me that ignoring them was part of the problem. That while talking about it isn't going to magically fix anything, ignoring it is worse. These people will continue to exist but the more we put a spotlight on it, the more likely it is that something will change so that they have less avenues to put their hate out there (like sites having better moderation for things like user reviews).

I honestly feel like there's discussion to be had about outright banning everything HP.  We really don't need all the celebrations this show is gonna bring (and already is in the thread).

There had been a franchise hype/trailer/promotional restriction back in early last year. Not sure why the recent news wasn't actioned over it, since it's a step further in that direction than the previous WBD/Zaslav discussions.

Outright ban or everything would be tricky though. I know a number of folks in the JKR thread were frustrated with the recent subject ban being as total in not being able to vent/grapple over the signaling of outlets and individuals over it. I just don't see how the JKR and their cohorts on their BS thread can be maintained if the very cornerstone of their power and justification can't be referenced.

It'd likely be better if the no promotion/hype/fanfare ruling on it would be enforced regularly and as on point as the banned subject.

I thankfully did not see this thread until now because I would have gone off on some posts in here if I was keeping up with the thread.

I am so fucking tired of seeing discussions about JKR and her IP on ERA focusing on everything but trans people. It's always talking about the IP's success, about the feelings of cis people and "allies", even people talking about what they want from it. Everyone just wants to talk right past us, thinking they just need to type out a quick "fuck JK rowling" "I hate JK rowling, but..." to get their free ally pass so they can keep talking about it.

We are facing genocide, and yet we get to sit and watch while people, knowing full well who JKR is and what she's doing, just casually discuss the merits of the IP of one of the biggest leaders of this movement like it's nothing. Genuinely, what the fuck.

Like, I'm not about to throw shade at voice actors who recorded their dialogue for Hogwarts Legacy 6 years ago before Rowling went Super Saiyan TERF Genocide, but by now, her evil has soaked into the groundwater. It's set in stone. You cannot associate yourself with a major Harry Potter-related project in 2023 without at least having heard about her trans genocide ideology. So at that point, anyone who's WILLING to walk through that line of fire to take that job is someone I'm not really going to be able to forgive or take seriously as a performer ever again.

But ideally, this show would just never get made at all and the TERF Witch would just fade into obscurity and never trouble us again.
