Yay:
+
Sis and I came roaring back to Vegas in style. Spent an entire week doing everything we wanted, and maybe even spent too much...
+ After more than a decade of self-doubt, I really started to believe in myself and my own decision-making. 😤
+ My dog and I are closer than ever and I love her so much.
+ Was more zen than ever this year.
Nay:
- Being zen is hard. I still break down and lash out too much. To be fair to me, starting since I got back from Vegas in September I'd say I'm under an objectively unsustainable amount of stress. 🤷♂️
- Had two physical altercations with two different family members, the first such of my life. As a pacifist, I do not punch back. I've had to balance dealing with these people on an ongoing basis and the lengths to which my forgiveness can be stretched.
- Paused my media production company stuff to focus on building skills in a different industry. I might not be able to turn the lights back on for a while and that's a bummer.
- Started backsliding on learning piano also starting in September, but I plan on doubling back down in 2 weeks (already paid for my next 5 lessons). 🎹
Gay:
~ My three-year dry spell came to an end (literally!) in Vegas.
~ Still wasn't ready for a relationship but I realized that will likely change in 2023.
~ Marriage equality has been enshrined into US law. On that, I'm proud of my country.
Overall: A pretty mid year after a couple really bad ones. I guess I'll take it, at the end of the day I believe I'm still on a good track.
